The Token Transit integration enables your users to purchase and manage public transit fares directly within CommuteHub, streamlining the payment process and making public transportation more convenient.
What is the Token Transit Integration?
Token Transit is a commute enhancement integration that connects CommuteHub with the Token Transit app, giving your users the ability to buy and manage transit tickets and passes in-app. This integration eliminates the need for physical tickets or separate fare payment apps, making it easier for users to choose public transportation for their commutes.
How Token Transit Works
Unlike activity logging integrations that require manual connection, Token Transit works automatically once enabled. When you activate the Token Transit integration:
- Token Transit fare payment options appear automatically when users search for eligible routes
- Users can purchase transit tickets and passes directly through the Token Transit app
- The integration simplifies the payment process for public transportation
- Users who want to use Token Transit features will need to download the Token Transit app, but no manual account connection is required
How to Enable Token Transit for users
- Log into the Management Dashboard
- Click "Settings" in the left sidebar (if you don't see this option, you don't have Admin permissions)
- Select "Integrations" from the menu
- Find "Token Transit" in the list of available integrations
- Toggle the integration from Disabled to Enabled
- Click "Configure" to customize settings
- Choose availability:
- All users across your organization
- Only specific networks (select which networks should have access)
- Confirm your settings
Once confirmed, Token Transit will appear as a fare payment option for users when they search for commute routes.
To disable the Token Transit integration, switch the toggle to Disabled and confirm.
User Experience
After you enable Token Transit, your users will:
- See Token Transit as an available option when planning routes in the application
- Be able to purchase and manage transit fares through the Token Transit app
- Need to download the Token Transit app to complete fare purchases
- Automatically have access without needing to connect any personal accounts
No action is required from individual users to "connect" Token Transit—it simply becomes available as a fare payment option within their CommuteHub experience.
