Integrations allow CommuteHub to connect with third-party apps and services, making it easier for users to track their commutes and manage their transportation options.
Two Categories of Integrations
CommuteHub offers two main types of integrations to enhance your users' experience:
1. Activity Logging Integrations
These integrations connect with fitness and activity tracking apps to automatically sync trip data into CommuteHub. This eliminates manual entry and streamlines the login process for your users. Boost engagement by automatically syncing trip data from apps your users already use for tracking.
Available Activity Logging Integrations:
- Strava - Automatically imports cycling and walking trips
- Love to Ride - Seamlessly syncs trips for tracking and reporting
2.Commute Enhancement Integrations
These integrations provide additional features like transit route planning and fare payment options. Make commuting easier by providing your users with convenient tools to plan routes and pay for transit—all within CommuteHub.
Available Commute Enhancement Integrations:
- Transit - Offers public transit routes and schedules as an alternative to Google Maps
- Token Transit - Enables in-app purchase and management of public transit fares
How to Enable an Integration
Follow these steps to enable any integration for your organization:
- Log into the Management Dashboard
- Click "Settings" in the left sidebar (if you don't see this option, you don't have Admin permissions)
- Select "Integrations" from the menu
-
View the list of available integrations on your screen
- Toggle an integration from Disabled to Enabled
- Click "Configure" to customize the integration settings
-
Choose availability by selecting whether the integration should be available to:
- All users across your organization
- Only specific networks
- Confirm your settings
- Once confirmed, the integration will be available according to its type.
How Integrations Work
The two categories of integrations work differently once you enable them:
Activity Logging Integrations require user action. After you enable Strava or Love to Ride, each user must connect their personal account through the "Connected Apps" section in their account settings. This ensures privacy and security—you cannot complete the connection on behalf of users.
Commute Enhancement Integrations work automatically. Once you enable Transit or Token Transit, they appear in your users' applications when searching for eligible routes. Users can choose to use these features by downloading the required apps, but no manual connection is needed.
Additional Integrations
Some integrations require additional scoping with your Customer Success Manager before they can be enabled:
- Mailchimp - Connect Mailchimp to sync audiences and manage email communications.. Note: Mailchimp is currently not visible on the integrations page. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
- Strava - Automatically imports cycling and walking trips
