The Love to Ride integration allows CommuteHub users to automatically sync their cycling trips from Love to Ride, reducing the need for manual trip logging and enabling participation across multiple cycling programs.
For a broader understanding of how integrations work in CommuteHub, see our Integrations Intro article. For detailed user-facing instructions, refer to our User Love to Ride Setup Guide.
What Is Love to Ride?
Love to Ride is a popular cycling platform that hosts bike challenges and programs for many organizations worldwide. CommuteHub integrates with Love to Ride to automatically synchronize trips, making it easy for users to participate in cycling programs across both platforms without duplicate manual entry.
What the Love to Ride Integration Does
Love to Ride is an Activity Logging Integration that connects CommuteHub with users' Love to Ride accounts to automatically import their cycling trips.
Key benefits:
- Automatic trip syncing: Users' cycling trips logged in Love to Ride are automatically synced to CommuteHub
- Reduced manual logging: Users no longer need to log the same trip twice across platforms
- Cross-platform participation: Makes it easier for users to participate in cycling programs on both Love to Ride and CommuteHub simultaneously
- Increased user engagement: Simplifies the tracking experience and encourages consistent participation

What Users Need to Do
After Love to Ride is enabled at the organization level, individual users must connect their own Love to Ride accounts to CommuteHub. This step cannot be completed on behalf of users—it's required for privacy and security.
Users will need to:
- Have an active Love to Ride account (this must be created before connecting)
- Navigate to "Connected Apps" in their CommuteHub account settings
- Click "Connect" next to Love to Ride
- Sign in with their Love to Ride credentials
- Authorize CommuteHub to synchronize their trip data
The connection process is straightforward and takes just a few minutes.
For detailed step-by-step instructions, direct users to: User Love to Ride Setup Guide.
To disconnect Love to Ride: Users can return to their Connected Apps section and click "Disconnect" next to Love to Ride. This will stop future trips from syncing, though previously synced trips will remain in their CommuteHub history.
How Trip Syncing Works
Once a user connects their Love to Ride account, CommuteHub automatically syncs trips logged in Love to Ride.
Automatic synchronization:
- When users log a ride in Love to Ride, it automatically appears in their CommuteHub commute history
- Synchronized trips display with a Love to Ride icon for easy identification
- Trips appear both on the web dashboard and in the CommuteTracker mobile app
Important notes:
- Users cannot edit synchronized trips in CommuteHub (they must be edited in Love to Ride)
- Synchronized trips can be deleted if necessary
- Synchronized trips are visible to CommuteHub administrators and network managers
