Before you jump in, it’s a good idea to take a quick look at the Parking Overview article first. It gives you the full picture of how parking works in your organization.
Parking permits are how your organization controls who can park where. If a permit shows up in your app, you can request it and use that parking option if it fits your needs.
⚠️ Important: Parking permits can look and behave a little differently depending on how your organization has set things up. This includes the types of permits available, where you find them, and how you activate them. This article shows the general flow and what to expect, but your screen or options may vary slightly. If something looks different, that’s normal—and your admin can always help clarify what applies to you.
Where to Find Your Permits
- Open the app or desktop version
- Scroll to the Parking widget
- Click on the Permits tab
Here you’ll see all permits available to you.
If nothing shows up, there are currently no permits available to you. If you expected one, your admin can help.
What Does a Permit Look Like?
Permits can vary depending on how your organization has set things up, but they all follow the same idea: they give you access to parking based on a specific set of rules.
Here are a few common examples you might see:
-
Monthly Parking Permit
A standard permit for a specific garage or lot. It allows you to park during a defined time period, usually on a recurring basis. -
Guaranteed Daily Parking
This type of permit is often used for roles that need reliable access to parking, such as on-call staff. It ensures a space is available even when general capacity is full. The permit itself is free, but you pay each time you park. When you badge in, a reservation is created automatically, so there’s no need to book in advance. -
Patient Parking
Common in healthcare organizations, this allows employees to park as patients rather than staff. In most cases, parking is anonymous and free of charge.
Each permit works a little differently, so it’s always a good idea to open it and review the details. That way, you know exactly when and how it can be used.
How to Activate a Parking Permit
Once everything looks right, click Request. After submitting, head to your permits overview tab. You should now see your permit in the Active permits section. |
Managing Your Permits
In the Permits section you can:
- See all active permits
- Open a permit to check details
- Keep track of your dates and usage
A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
- Double-check your vehicle and dates before requesting
- Make sure your permit is still active and not expired
- Cancellation rules can vary
If you need to cancel a permit, check the Info tab inside the permit. That’s where you’ll find how long you have to cancel.
