Called either Emergency Ride Home or Guaranteed Ride Home (ERH/GRH), this commute program is very popular and effective among RideAmigos clients. Here we’ll take you through the process of creating your own version of the program.
Setting up the Network
Many ERH/GRH programs are restricted to a certain subset of users in the system. To accommodate this, we need to create a specific private network so we can manage who is eligible for the program. To begin, create a network. For our example, we’ll be creating the RideAmigosGRH Network. We’ll also be keeping it private to ensure control over who can use vouchers.
For help creating new networks, visit our guide here.
Once you’re finished editing the network details, you’re able to start adding members. If you need help with this, visit our support page for populating networks.
Create a Point Program for your ERH/GRH
Next, we’ll want to create the ERH/GRH program using the Point Program Tool. You can read our detailed guide for using the Point Program Tool here.
Create a new point program and name it whatever you would like; for our example, we’ll be using ‘RideAmigos GRH Program’.
Add the details, descriptions, and point of contact.
Choose Point Program Criteria
Select the eligible networks; for our example, we’ll only be allowing the RideAmigos GRH network to participate.
Choose the dates that this program will be run and the date by which the users will have to redeem their vouchers.
We can choose whatever modes we want; since users can’t accrue more points, this is unimportant. However, it is important to select at least 1 mode. Otherwise, you won’t be able to finalize the program.
We will only be allowing 4 vouchers per year in our example. We’ll be setting the points per trip to zero and the maximum points per day to zero. This means that they won’t be able to “earn” more vouchers. We will, however, set the starting points to 4; this is how many vouchers they will have at their disposal during the dates the program runs.
Adding Vouchers
Add your voucher as an inventory item.
You can do so now while you’re creating the program, or you can edit it later with a Digital Inventory Item.
To use the simple item creation here, name the voucher, set the quantity to unlimited, and set the user limit to 4
If you have a download the user will need to fill out or send in, select ‘Simple URL Delivery’ and add the link.
Alternatively, you can create a Digital Inventory item with a custom PDF or Form for the user to complete.
For custom PDFs and forms, contact our support team.
Save your Program. Users will now be able to view this from their Incentives/Point Programs area and redeem their vouchers.
Let your users know about the program and get started!
You will be able to view who has redeemed their vouchers via the Point Program Report screen.
