If you would like to setup your RideAmigos platform to be accessed from your own domain/URL, we're happy to help with the setup & transition. For cases where you would like to host the platform on a subdomain (e.g. rideamigos.yourdomain.com) see the section below on subdomains. First, we'll look at how to setup RideAmigos on a new, primary domain.
Primary Domain
If you own a domain that you would like to access the RideAmigos platform from, we can get things up and running in just a few quick steps.
It is recommended that you allow RideAmigos to manage the name servers for your domain to ensure the highest possible uptime.
- Contact RideAmigos with the URL you plan to use.
- Update the nameserver settings on your domain management console to the following:
- ns0.rideamigos.com
- ns1.rideamigos.com
- ns2.rideamigos.com
- ns3.rideamigos.com
- ns4.rideamigos.com
- Contact RideAmigos once the nameserver changes have been made.
- If additional custom DNS entries are required we can host those DNS records as well. There is no additional charge for RideAmigos to host the DNS records for the domain.
- When all record changes have been completed and verified, we can transition the site.
Subdomain
If you are planning to access your RideAmigos platform from a subdomain of your domain, the steps to implementation will be largely the same as the ones above.
- Contact RideAmigos with the URL you plan to use.
- RideAmigos will send you a file with CNAMES to add to your domain’s DNS records.
- After adding the CNAMES and getting back to us, we will use them to verify the security certificate for the site.
- Once verified, we can transition the site.
