Password Reset – Self Service
From the home screen:
- Click ‘Login Here’
- Below the ‘Sign In’ button, click ‘Forgot Password’
- Enter the email address associated with your account and click ‘Submit’
Check your email for a link to regain access to your account and set a new password.
Bonus Tip: An administrator can also initiate a password reset email for a user by entering the user’s email address into the self-service reset feature. This is particularly useful if you are manually creating a new account on behalf of a user. Read more.
Password Reset – Manager
Manage > Management Dashboard > (Network) > Members
Search for the desired user by first name, last name, or email address and click the row action button on the left and select 'Edit Member.'
Click the ‘More Actions’ button and choose ‘Reset User Password.’
The manager can specify a new password.
Bonus Tip: This feature is helpful when you want to retain a user’s account information in your system but need to remove that person’s access. Simply change their password and do not share it with them.
Passwords and Single Sign-On
It is important to note that if your site offers single sign-on authentication through your own server or a 3rd party (e.g. Facebook or Google) then changing a user’s password will not prevent them from accessing RideAmigos via these other authentication methods.
