Sometimes your registration email goes missing or the link doesn't work. It's a common glitch, but you can usually fix it fast.
We've put together a quick checklist to help you solve common issues with your registration email or a broken confirmation link.
1. Check Your Spam Folder
This is the most common culprit. Your email provider might have accidentally sent your registration email to your spam or junk folder. Take a quick look there first.
2. Verify Your Email Address
Did you make a small typo when you signed up? That's an easy mistake to make! To check if your email address was entered correctly, try one of these approaches: First, attempt to register a new account using your correct email address - if an account already exists with that email, you'll typically see an error message saying the email is already in use. Alternatively, contact the site manager to verify whether an account was registered under your email address.
3. Check With Your IT Department
If you're using a work email and several colleagues from your company are having the same issue, your IT department's spam filters might be blocking our emails. Ask them to add our sender's address to their trusted senders list.
What to Do If the Link Is not Working?
If you received the email but the link won't open or gives you an error, your company's email security might have automatically reformatted the link, breaking it in the process. This is a common issue with some spam filters. Look for the full URL that's typically printed below the confirmation button in the email - you can copy and paste this link directly into your browser to complete your account setup. If you still have trouble accessing the link, check with your IT department about email security settings that might be affecting the formatting.
