What is a Multi-Modal trip?
Multi-modal refers to a trip where you use more than one type of transportation to travel between your origin and destination. An example of this would be a journey to work where you first bicycled to a transit station, loaded your bike on the train, got off the train at the closest station to work, and then continued your journey on to the office.
Note: Different sites and programs may have different guidance on how you should log multi-modal trips. For example, you may be asked to simply log your total trip distance using the mode used for the majority of your trip. If you're unsure, check with a local program administrator.
